Planet Durmir
Quantion Research Facility, North Redstone Sector 14
Darkness filled the orange covered planet as the planet turned its view away from
the system’s sun. General Chavez, a highly recognized person for investing in space
research, looked out the window of the research facility, watching the last Unicorn carrier
leave to share resources with the other planets. He then turned his attention to a
document, said mining of Durmir’s crust was getting little or no return from most areas.
As well as another, that read diplomats were going crazy to find another empire to trade
their surplus and it was proposing a development in probing the stars for others or planets
for an increase in the ever so failing economy. The General pulled a pen out of his pocket
and signed for the probing development in finding new systems.
Later that night Chavez sneaked into one of the hangers and saw his great dream
with a drape over it. His dream of a craft that could open a worm hole to instantly travel
to one location to another was shot down by the RUP (Representatives of United Planets)
when 45% said yes and 55% said no. After looking and thinking back about his dream for,
the general realized he had to be heading off to a meeting on finding new systems. Chavez
then suddenly stopped, it had been if a nuke had been dropped on his head. This could be
his chance to re-vote on his dream by connecting it with the probing development. Chavez
then continued his march to the 3rd Floor, where his meeting was.
The general walked into the room where about 15 mid-aged men were chatting.
Chavez walked over to a chair and sat down with a file he picked up on the way there.
“Welcome Gentlemen,” one of the older of the guys said. “This is meeting of life
or civil war. If we don’t find a new source of trade our own people will revolt and destroy
his highly fought for empire. If this project is accepted this will open our doors to the
universe,” the displayer said.
“How long until it’ll be ready,” one of the them asked.
“Six months at the latest,” the displayer replied
“If we detect planets how will we get there,” another one asked.
“We can use carrier through intergalactic travel,” said the displayer
“That will take months,” said another.
“Not if we go back into project Chrono,” Chavez said as he stood up. “If we start
both these projects into our research fund we’ll be able to control the entire galaxy. But
the chrono project can only carry small amounts. But can carry enough to start a colony
on a uninhabited planet,”
“That is all gentlemen,” said the displayer. “Wait, one last thing, if we put our feet
in both of these project, we’ll expand our empire farther than you ever thought,
gentlemen, make the right decision,” finished the displayer.
Chavez stayed seated as the rest of the room cleared. He opened the file on the
table and smiled at his diagram of a Chrono Engine. Next he stood up walked down the
hall back to his quarters.

Planet Jericho
Kharak Military Construction Yards, Classified Location
“General Chavez we have landed at Kharak,” the pilot announced.
Chavez stood up and walked to the exit of the carrier he was on. As the door slid
open to release its cargo, the general noticed the sky was red and it was hot as hell. A row
of green uniformed personal were lined up of both side of the ramp. As Chavez was
walking down he noticed all of the personal look exactly the same.
“Welcome General,” a tall man in a white uniform that was younger than an
average corporal greeted while walking up to the carrier.
“The hell are you doing here,” Chavez asked stopping after stepping off the ramp.
“We’re making the future now,” starting to walk backwards. “All will explained
general when we go underground, please follow me”
Chavez followed the young corporal to a shed looking building. After the doors
slid to the side. They both stepped into the building. The young corporal then hit a switch
on the wall, subsequently the whole floor started to descend. The elevator floor then
stopped after going down about 10 stories. The two of them then walked into a balcony
reveling a huge white room below after the blast doors slid to the side.
“This is where all the top secret research is done,” said the young corporal. “For
example probing, your chrono pathfinder, and cloning.”
“Clones?”
“Yes, those soldiers at the surface were clones. Any ways your two projects you
sent here were finished last month and were tested two weeks ago. All is go, they’re ready
for mass production.”
“Load all research and prototypes into the carrier up on surface,” said Chavez
while turning around and leaning on the railing of the balcony.
“We also want you to take 2,000 clones for further use in the testing of the
chronos.”
“Thank you, I’ll be on the carrier if you need me,” Chavez said as walking back to
the elevator.
“Good day, General Chavez.”
“Goodbye, corporal,” Chavez said as the blast doors closed.
Chavez stood in the elevator feeling great about what had just been achieved,
instant travel.
2 Weeks Later

Planet Durmir’s Obit
Chi Ceti Starport/Starfactory, Lagrange Point 3
1 minute till launch a big red sign counted down on all the computer screens.
Chavez watched through the control room watching the timer count down. Once the timer
hit zero 12 probes would launch in every direction 75-150 parsecs and hopefully detecting
a planet. If so his team of clones would chrono to the location to cheek if its safe to send a
carrier with supplies to colonize the planet.
“Probes launching,” the computers said as submersible looking ships launched to
hyperspace in every direction.
The probes each went out about 500 feet, opened a mini wormhole and entered
them. Chavez watched on the computer screen there course through the wormholes. This
was a day of galactic history Chavez thought as headed back to his quarters.
