The hate of others reached into the presence of the "Core Desideratum". Planets were lost in long furious battles. Delta had taken shelter in the shrine for it protection. The planets were soon destroyed. It was not too soon until the shrine became under attack. The screams of the innocent echoed in the halls of the shrine. The ethereal jewel began to pulsate a red hue glow. Our blood changed to the blood of warriors, and boiled. The sacred shrine had been bombarded by a swarm of fighters. The jewel had started to shake violently to such a force. The great halls began to collapse, as Delta stared into the red glow. The jewel shattered in front of him. Delta awakened to be staring at a large orb of light. It was a sun. The occupants of the shrine and Delta had been wisped away to a distant system in a stasis ship. Delta felt an intense worry of the “Core Desideratum”. Through a window he stared outward. The three planets were surrounded by a red hue which disappeared a moment later. He knew that the “Core Desideratum” laid before him in three pieces, three planets. "Core Desideratum" still lived, and so did he. As the years passed, he began to fear that the “Core Desideratum” would never return to its former state. It had saddened him to know that the “Core Desideratum” had been sacrificed to save his people. Staring at the horizon, Delta knowing in his mind that this could not be. He decreed an order for three new shrines to be created to symbolize the “Core Desideratum” until it eventual return. Delta arranged a celebration as three new shrines rose into the sky and into space as shining beacons. The shrines that represented the ethereal jewel’s fragmented pieces. Lit up the night sky and began to shine brightly over a mountaintop over each planet. The populace was awe struck by the majestic beauty that lay before them. The shrines as Delta knew them could never take the place of the ethereal jewel. The new system eventually thrived and the civilization had become a glowing light through the galaxy. Peace, Prosperity, and Protection had come to this small region of space. He knew it was more than the work of the shrines. Delta one night went to sleep dreaming of the day in which he would stand before the glowing lights of the “Core Desideratum”. A minor earthquake on Peace awakened him. The mountain below the shrine started to shake and crumble as a crystal…no a jewel emerged from the falling rocks. Delta did not recognize the shining jewel but knew it to be the fragment “Peace” as his heart calmed at its sight. The large crystal shimmered high into space and orbited around the sun. Delta had gotten reports of similar jewels coming from the planets Prosperity and Protection. The jewels were on a course to the sun. His fleets quickly pursued the fragments as they traveled to the sun. The jewel’s fragments started to orbit the sun at tremendous speeds causing the sun surface to distort and congeal into small spire. The fragments stopped moving around the sun and it returned to normal. The spire broke off as the sun’s surface melted the base. The fragments orbited this piece as they beamed bright lights at the rock. The fragments stopped and backed away as the rock started to shake. Delta pulled his fleet away to a safe distance as the fragments did. A huge explosion followed not soon after. In its wake a small jewel was born. Delta quite confused didn’t understand. This jewel soon moved towards the other fragments and as it passed by Delta’s fleet. The fleet experienced an array of temporal distortions as it passed. Delta understood the power in which this new jewel was born. Delta named this jewel “Time”. “Time” headed towards the fragments and began to circle them. The fragments stayed close to one another as “Time” increased in speed. The three fragments started to melt into a liquid and crystallize. Delta’s hopes had come to be. The “Core Desideratum” had returned and with a new ally.
