The side of the huge ship exploded into space and debris hurtle at our ship. “Report!” I yelled. “The enemy battleship was hit by our cannons, our forward armor is slightly damaged by debris and shrapnel, and enemy ship is… Intact sir!” a bridge officer called out. The battleship had taken four cannons on its port side, which would have blasted through any ship in our fleet, and emerged from it alive! “Dam it, prepare for a second round from our main cannons!” I called out to the weapons officer. “Aye, sir!” he replied. Suddenly, a bright light flashed directly behind the enemy battleship, and destructive rays of radioactivity hammered into the great ship. “Brace for EMP shock-wave!” I yelled through the ship-wide radio. Static rushed through our bridge monitors, and the light blinked off. The emergency light shined weakly as the Dynamo’s power plants tried to regain power. “Damage report!” I yelled for the third time since we exited intergalactic flight. “Sir, two engines are down, our computer navigation is down, and the main power plant is also down! Also, a section of our ship was breached and an estimated 200 crew are missing or dead!” the same officer who answered the damage report after our cannon shots replied. “What about the enemy fleet?” I asked. “About three enemy carriers are destroyed, and about three more are dead in space; Two enemy cruisers disabled, and one destroyed; about 30 enemy fighters is either destroyed or disabled; and enemy battleships, 1 down and 1 heavily damaged.” He replied. In front of us, we could see that the battleship we were fighting is the heavily damaged one, smoke rose from the opposite side, and there are burned out sections all over the place. “Finish it!” I yelled at the weapons officer. The Dynamo shook as four more cannon shots were hurtled at the enemy ship. “Enemy battleship is destroyed!” another bridge officer yells from the monitor upfront. A loud cheer sounded through the bridge, and I smiled, we took out a battleship! ”Enemy battleships are approaching us, sir, I think we are in BIG trouble…!” an officer standing by me said, and suddenly, it got really quiet as, in the view screen, 6 enemy battleships slowly approached.
