"Tell the engineers to pull out and fire up the main power plants," i told an officer standing near me. We were docked in an orbital space station near Astoria, one of the safest outer-colonies, and the location of one of the advance stationary fortresses of the International Space Fleet. "Prepare to exit orbit and jump to the Numerok System," i told the navigation officer. The goal of Operation Eagle was to clean the pirates from the outer-colonies and attack a small rebel fortress located near the Ashenian System. “Numerok?” the navigational officer asked, making sure he heard the right thing. “Yes, and tell all the other ships in the fleet that we are leaving in fifteen minutes.” I told him. The engine started and the huge cruiser began to turn. Outside, the rest of the fleet began to move and some turned also towards space. “Give me the number of ships I got.” I told one of the bridge officers. “Aye, sir!” he answered, and a list showed up on my message box. Cruisers = 15 (each with 20 chaos fighters onboard) – Destroyers = 20 (each with 12 chaos fighters onboard) – Destructor Fighters = 40 – Chaos Fighters = 80 – Pathfinders = 10. “Prepare to jump!” called the navigational officer. I checked by belt and make sure my helmet was firmly on, and turned to look outside. The lights from the ships outside began leaping forward and disappearing into warp-space. The ship lurched forward, and suddenly, the planets and stars outside disappeared, and only a black darkness could be seen. “How long till we are there?” I asked. “about 3 hours” an officer sitting in front told me. I lay down on my seat and after a while, began to drift into a dream. TO BE CONTINUED…
